We pulled away from the dock at 6:40 a.m. in the company of 12 other boats. It looked like a procession as we made our way out into Joe Wheeler Lake and then entered first Wheeler Lock and then Wilson Lock. We even had boats rafted together in the locks! It was a misty morning, but naturally it rained the hardest while we had to monitor our tie-ups to the lock bollards. We were back to wearing our uniforms of full storm gear! After traveling 60 miles and through 2 locks we arrived at Grand Harbor Marina at 3 p.m. Andrew and Sallyann joined us for cocktails and afterwards we enjoyed dinner aboard.
